Designing a music festival everyone wants to snag a ticket to

I was the creative director setting the vision for Loufest for the majority of the years it was around. In years past I would craft the poster and turn over a style guide to their team to craft every element that needed to fall out of that look and feel. However, this year we worked to gamify the release of the line-up in social and build out a robust website to buy tickets through.

 
 

Crafting an illustration style that can keep up with the pace of social

The greatest learning for me with this work, from a nerdy design operations standpoint, was to define an aesthetic that can be executed on quickly. I crafted basic line drawings that were brilliantly brought to life by a strong colorstory that layered on top of them. Elements from the posters could be pulled apart and used in other collateral so no illustration went to waste.
